Board of Directors

Deb Ward

Deb grew up in the Littleton area, attending Littleton Public schools.  After graduating from University of Colorado medical school, she practiced internal medicine for 27 years in the South Denver area.  From her practice, she learned the importance of connections with her patients and the need for medical care for those in need through Doctor’s Care program.

Initially working as a volunteer for Break Bread, Deb joined the Board in October 2023.  She also enjoys serving the community through the Littleton Optimist Club and through Arapahoe Santa shop.

For fun, Deb enjoys hiking, skiing, mountain biking, and baking cookies.  She loves to travel with her husband Chris and to see her children who live in Bozeman and Boston.

An Important Message from Break Bread

After nearly eight incredible years of building community around shared meals, Break Bread will be closing our doors following our  final celebration meal on

October 25, 2025.

This decision is made with heavy hearts and comes after careful evaluation of our organization's sustainability. While we're sad to say goodbye, we're overwhelmed with gratitude for the 150,000+ meals shared and the beautiful community we built together.

Our final weeks will be a celebration of the friendships formed, the dignity shared, and the magic created when people come together around the dinner table.
