Here at Break Bread, we are dreamers—and we are doers. For eight incredible years, we envisioned a healthier, more connected community and worked hard to realize that vision, serving over 150,000 meals and building meaningful relationships among neighbors through free community meals that offered nourishment, friendship, and belonging.
We've paused our meal programming—but our story isn't over.
When we first made the decision to close in October 2025, we thought we'd exhausted all options. But in the weeks since, promising conversations reminded us why this work matters so much. At a time when the world needs a little more magic, a little more kindness, a little more connection—we're not ready to give up.
We're working toward relaunching in 2026, and we need you to make it happen.

Break Bread began serving free community meals in 2017, providing over 150,000 meals in the last eight years. More than a meal—we created a place where strangers became family, where everyone belonged, and where the simple act of sharing a meal built lasting community connections.
Break Bread paused its programming in October to reimagine how we can meet the growing needs of our community. We're planning to relaunch in 2026, but we can't do it alone—we need you.
