Jerry Krause has been on the Board of Directors of various non-profit
organizations. He was on the visioning committee in 2017-18 that lead to
the creation of Break Bread. This is his second term as a member of BB
board of directors. He just stepped down as the Chair of the Littleton
Methodist Church Administrative Council after six years. He was a member
of the United Methodist Church committee that created the new Mountain
Sky Conference for Montana, Wyoming, Colorado, and Utah. Other
organizations where he served as a President and board member include
Shiloh Homes Inc, Voices West Choral, Montana State Fraternity Building
Association and Littleton Optimist Club.
Jerry retired as a Senior Director of Information Technology. He held senior
management positions for United Airlines Computer Systems and was Head
Information Technology Director for a joint venture computer reservation
project owned by several major European airlines. During this time, he lived
in Amsterdam and England. For the last 7 years of his career he was a
principal and Managing Director of the consulting firm FocusIT. He worked
for customers such as the Canadian National Post, Chicago Sun Times, AT&T
Wireless, and United Airlines. He has a degree in Statistics (Montana State)
and a MS in Computer Science (Texas A&M.) Now he helps novice users of
home computers solve their problems and he recently created a
lecture/discussion series on computer security. Years ago, he was a USAF
Captain working in the Pentagon in a special research department. His work
included being on a test team for a computer network that became known as
the Internet.
He met his wife, Nancy, in the back row of Littleton Methodist choir and they
have been married for almost 15 years. They have 5 children and 9
grandchildren. A life-long singer, he enjoys singing in community and
church choirs. He grew up on a farm in Wyoming near Yellowstone Park and
knows how to drive beet trucks and big tractors. His hobbies include pickle
ball, photography, fly fishing, travel and watching his grandkid’s athletic
events.
