We believe food is more than a meal.
It's a conversation starter. A reason to show up. A way to say: you belong here.
For eight years, Break Bread turned that belief into action — serving over 150,000 free meals across the tri-cities region and building something rarer than most: a community where everyone has a seat at the table, no questions asked.
In October 2025, we paused. Not because the need disappeared — but because we needed the time to re-envision how to make Break Bread sustainable for the long haul.
We're back. And we're just getting started.
Break Bread relaunched in April 2026 with free weekly to-go meals at East Community Center in Littleton — and this July, we're adding weekly in-person dining back to the table. Same open door. Same no-barriers commitment. More momentum than ever.
We hope to see you soon!

Break Bread is a secular, 501(c)(3) nonprofit serving greater Littleton, Colorado.
But, really, Break Bread is you. It's me. It's us.
All of us.
It's anyone and everyone who enters our doors to share a meal as a neighbor.
Break Bread is supported by a volunteer Board of Directors and three paid staff members. We rely heavily on the generosity of our amazing volunteers and community partners to help us nourish the bodies and spirits of our neighbors.

We build community through
FREE meals, shared with our neighbors.
Currently our programming consists of a weekly togo meal
4pm-6pm Thursdays
at East Community Center

In July we will be adding back an in person community meal. Stay tuned for details.

Our mission is to reduce hunger and build relationships within our community through free meals and other programs that provide nourishment and foster friendship.
