BOARD OF DIRECTORS

ROD MORGAN

Growing up in Colorado and being able to hike/climb/camp in nearly every area in the state has given Rod a great appreciation for the special resources in Colorado. Among those resources are the everyday people that make Colorado their home.  Working to strengthen our neighbors through nourishment and friendship helps ensure Colorado remains a wonderful community for all of us.

Rod worked in the technology sector, most recently as Director of Network Planning & Engineering for Verizon Wireless. Although technically retired, he maintains a presence in the business world through ownership and consulting roles in several real estate & technology-based companies. He currently serves in leadership roles at two other non-profits: The Mountain Area Land Trust and The Morgan Family Foundation.

Rod resides in Conifer, CO with his wife, Kathy Estes. He is the proud father of two daughters and four grandsons. He and Kathy share an active lifestyle including golfing, hiking, scuba, kayaking and wild animal rescue/rehabilitation.

An Important Message from Break Bread

After nearly eight incredible years of building community around shared meals, Break Bread will be closing our doors following our  final celebration meal on

October 25, 2025.

This decision is made with heavy hearts and comes after careful evaluation of our organization's sustainability. While we're sad to say goodbye, we're overwhelmed with gratitude for the 150,000+ meals shared and the beautiful community we built together.

Our final weeks will be a celebration of the friendships formed, the dignity shared, and the magic created when people come together around the dinner table.
